Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the imaging modality of choice for paediatric congenital brain malformations. It is an indispensable tool in the appropriate management these pathologies.

This course provides a fundamental knowledge of –

• To understand normal brain embryogenesis.
• Imaging findings in Chiari Malformations, Cephaloceles.
• Classification and how to differentiate types of Holoprosencephaly on imaging.
• Disorders of sulcation and cellular migration - lissencephaly , megalencephaly, pachygyria, polymicrogyria, schizencephaly, heterotopias.
• Corpus callosal anomalies
• Posterior fossa malformations - Dandy walker spectrum
• Joubert syndrome and related disorders

After completing this course, the participants will be better able to:

• Understand imaging appearances of these above-mentioned pathologies.
• Document imaging details relevant to management.
